Break Line is a 60-unit collective housing proposal in New Orleans that reinterprets the city's double-shotgun housing typology. Beginning with a continuous building bar, the design breaks and shifts the mass into smaller residential clusters, creating openings for light, circulation, and shared outdoor space. The proposal incorporates one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, with ground-floor amenities for residents and housing above. Landscaped spaces between the buildings encourage interaction while maintaining privacy for residents.
