Medusae

Fall 2025

Tulane University

Medusae is a design media project exploring the modeling and representation of complex organic forms. Drawing from Ernst Haeckel's studies of jellyfish, the project began with an analysis of symmetry, repetition, and movement before developing into a detailed three-dimensional model in Rhino. The geometry was designed for 3D printing, requiring careful attention to its structure and connections. The project also explored architectural drawing techniques, atmospheric rendering in D5 Render, and digital collage. The completed booklet received first place in a class of approximately 100 students.
